Analysis of Wood Pellets and Briquettes Market
With the rapid growth in price of natural gas and oil, more and more countries turn to fuel pellets. Last year, EU made a plan of “20/20/20”, which means by 2020 the EU countries have to increase the share of alternative energy sources to 20%in total energy consumption.
According to a worldwide research on biofuel, Ukraine has played an important role in producing biofuel and about 80% of it is exported to EU countries. The leading producing plants are in Polesie and Transcarpathia regions. These plants are near to raw material resources, which is an incomparable advantage.
The analysts note that biofuel enterprises near large cities are convenient for people to purchase products. But because human resources are expensive, the cost of biofuel is a little bit higher. Besides, biofuel production needs large capital investment, which is difficult to many companies, the only solution is to attract foreign investors.
As European countries such as Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Austria, Italy, Slovakia and Poland would like to pay good price for biofuel, Ukrainian producers are ready to export. While in Ukraine, the consumption of biofuel is quite different from areas to areas.
Scientists are exploring new ways to generate energy, and they note that the market of biofuel is promising.
